I am alive today because of 8 blood transfusions in 26 years! I cannot ever thank donors enoughRead More because I got to live to see my children grow up and now have grand children due to donor generosity! My first transfusion was with the birth of my second child. I faced the possibility that, without a blood transfusion I was going to die. I had a newborn I'd never see grow up and a 3 year old. There was a blood shortage and I am o neg so I was braced for that possibility. Thankfully donors stepped up and I got the precious gift of seeing my children grow up. Then when they were in high school, freshman and senior I desperately needed another transfusion. Again, thanks to blood donors I survived and saw my daughter graduate. Over the next few years there were more scares but THANK GOD there were always those generous donors! Isaw both girls graduate, go to college, ger married, have children because of many many selfless blood donors. I have life because of them. So if you are a donor or you know a donor know that you really and truly are saving your neighbors lives. All but my first batch of blood has come from within the county I live in. My neighbors have given me the gift of life and I am so very grateful. THANK YOU
