Naugatuck Police Blotter: Dec. 6-7
The following information was provided by the public information officer at the Naugatuck Police Department. They are allegations until proven otherwise in a court of law.
THREE CHARGED WITH SHOPLIFTING HAIR PRODUCTS
A Naugatuck woman and two teenagers were charged shoplifting hair products from Big Y after being caught by the store’s loss prevention officer on Monday.
Theresa Garnett, 49, Holly Garnett, 19, both of 77 Morning Dove Road, and Ashley Zinko, 19, 16 Frederick St., Waterbury were all charged with third-degree larceny and a conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny after police responded to the Bridge Street store on Dec. 12.
Theresa Garnett was accused of stealing $5.57 in hair product merchandise, Holly Garnett accused of stealing $24.26 in goods and Ashley Zinko accused of stealing $11.53 in merchandise.
All three are scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 21. No bond information was available, police said.
MAN CHARGED WITH FAILING TO APPEAR
Daniel DaSilva, 25, 190 Maple St., Naugatuck, was charged with two counts of second-degree failure to appear in court after being taken into custody from his home on Maple Street on Dec. 12. DaSilva was released on a total $990 surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 21.
WOMAN CHARGED WITH FAILING TO APPEAR
Melana Reilly, 34, 134 Thunderbridge Drive, Naugatuck, was charged with second-degree failure to appear on Dec. 12 after being taken into custody from her home. Reilly was released on a $265 surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 21.
MAN HELD ON HIGH BOND FOLLOWING FTA ARREST
Ryan Keefe, 34, 1363 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged with second-degree failure to appear on Dec. 12 after being taken into custody from his home. Keefe was held on a $25,000 surety bond and was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 13.
