Naugatuck Police Blotter: Dec. 20-21
The following information was provided by the public information officer at the Naugatuck Police Department. They are allegations until proven otherwise in a court of law.
MAN CHARGED WITH VIOLATING A PROTECTIVE ORDER
Roberto Rodriguez, 38, 312 Wolcott St., Waterbury, was charged with a criminal violation of a protective order after he was taken into custody at Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 20. Naugatuck police said the incident occurred on Nov. 18. Rodriguez was held for arraignment at court.
TEEN CHARGED WITH SHOPLIFTING
A Naugatuck juvenile was charged with sixth-degree larceny after police said she turned herself in on Dec. 20 after learning there was a warrant for her arrest. The female youth is accused of shoplifting $114.47 in merchandise from Big Y on Bridge Street on Nov. 11. The accused was released to a family member and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Juvenile Court on Jan. 3.
MAN CHARGED WITH FAILING TO APPEAR IN COURT
Jesse Valentin, 31, 284 North Main St., Naugatuck, was charged with a failure to respond to an infraction and second-degree failure to appear on Dec. 20. Valentin turned himself in to police after learning there was a warrant for his arrest. He was released on a $205 bond for the infraction charge and is due in Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 28. He was also released a on a $750 surety bond and is due in Derby Superior Court on Jan. 9 to answer to the failure to appear charge.
MAN CHARGED WITH DUI ON ROUTE 8
Robert Fenwick, 39, 39 Homestead Ave., Naugatuck, was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license and a failure to obey a traffic control signal after police pulled him over on Route 8 north by Exit 29 on Dec. 21 at 12:06 .a.m. Fenwick was released on a $500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 29.
WOMAN CHARGED WITH DUI ON BRIDGE STREET
Tracey Scott, 42, 15 Cedar Hill Road, Prospect, was charged with driving under the influence and violating a stop sign after police pulled her over on Bridge Street following a motor vehicle stop on Dec. 21 at 1:20 a.m. She was released on a $500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 29.
MAN CHARGED WITH FAILING TO APPEAR IN COURT
Joseph Gordon, 37, 121 John St., Naugatuck, was charged with second-degree failure to appear on Dec. 21 after he turned himself in to Naugatuck police upon learning there was a warrant for his arrest. Gordon was held on a court-set $45,000 surety bond and was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Dec. 21.
