Naugatuck Savings Bank Opening New Waterbury Branch
The bank announced Thursday its plan to open a branch in the east end of the Brass City.
Naugatuck Savings Bank announced Thursday it plans to open a new bank branch in Waterbury this coming spring.
Mark C. Yanarella, chairman and CEO of the borough bank, said the new branch office will be located at 3580 East Main St. In a press release, Yanarella said the new office will feature a “customer-oriented design,” which will include a computer café and investment center.
The press release pegged the opening as "the early spring," however there was no specific target date.
“We continue to grow our branch network as we strive to better serve our customers,” the president said. “The east end of Waterbury seemed to be a natural location for us to expand our footprint.”
This is the second NSB bank branch to open in Waterbury, and the 18th overall. The bank operates a corporate central office on Church Street in Naugatuck, as well as 17 branches in Naugatuck, Ansonia, Prospect, Cheshire, Oxford, Hamden, Middlebury, Woodbury and Waterbury, according to its website.
NSB also operates two additional banks within both Nonnewaug High School in Woodbury and Naugatuck High School, the latter of which opened last fall.
Apart from banking, NSB also offers business loans, deposit solutions and wealth management, the press release stated.
“At Naugatuck Savings Bank we are committed to giving friendly and personalized service to every customer, every day,” Yanarella said. “Our new location will be staffed with employees who are committed to our customer centric philosophy and high service standards.”
NSB Is a subsidiary of Nutmeg Financial, MHC. It’s been operating in the Naugatuck Valley since 1870.
