Naugatuck's Pat Dean Debuts for the Rock Cats
Dean makes his Double A start in New Britain on Friday.
Naugatuck native Pat Dean started on the mound for the New Britain Rock Cats Friday night versus the Trenton Thunder, losing 4-1.
Dean, a 2007 graduate of Naugatuck High School, received the call up to the Twins Double A affilate earlier this week after pitching in the Single A Ft. Myers, Fla., affilate this summer.
Dean gave up 3 runs in the first inning, but settled down for the next 5 allowing 0 runs. He faced 28 batters, striking out three and walking only one. The Rock Cats only run came on a home run off the bat of Evan Bigley.
