Police Blotter: Man Charged With Strangulation

The following information was provided by the public information officer at the Naugatuck Police Department. They are allegations at this point.

CRIMINAL VIOLATION OF A PROTECTIVE ORDER
Morgan Anderson, 24, 356 West Grove St., Waterbury, was charged with criminal violation of a protective order after police said the accused went to his ex-girlfriend’s house on North Main Street unannounced on July 21, 2010. The ex-girlfriend has a protective order against Anderson. The warrant was served at Waterbury Superior Court on Monday, police said.

ASSAULT
David Buchelli, 29, 1296 E. Main St., Bridgeport, was charged with third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and third-degree strangulation after police said he choked a woman at 53 Conrad St., causing minor injuries, on March 7. Buchelli was held on a $5,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 7.

FAILURE TO APPEAR
Christine Clark, 25, 179 Ward St., Naugatuck, was charged with second-degree failure to appear on March 7 after police said she turned herself in. Clark posted a $495 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 16.

FAILURE TO APPEAR
Robert Sanders, 35, 68 Grand View St., Springfield, was charged with first-degree failure to appear on March 7 after police said they served a warrant on him that day at Waterbury Superior Court.

SUSPENDED LICENSE
Salomon Hernandez, 36, 400 Farm Wood Road, Woodbury, was charged with violating a stop sign and illegal operation of a car under suspension after police said he failed to stop at a stop sign on March 7 at Blue Bird Drive and that he had a suspended license for a previous DUI arrest. Hernandez posted a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on March 17.
