Police Respond to Egging of Cars, Home

Naugatuck police said vandalism incidents occurred over the past week.

A home and a car were victims of vandalism last week — the kind that involves eggs.

Naugatuck police said a home at 17 Acushnet St. was vandalized on Dec. 5 and cars at 595 May St. were also vandalized on Dec. 12. Someone threw eggs at both locations and left a mess on the homes and cars, police said.

Police responded to investigate the criminal mischief incidents, however it appears there are little leads to work on at this time, said Lt. Robert Harrison. He said the vandalism doesn’t appear to be wide sweeping.

“Hopefully our suspects decided to grow up a little,” Harrison said.

Anyone with information on the egging incidents should contact the police department at 203-729-5221.
