City Hill Middle School will be offering grief-counseling services Sunday during the wake for Michael P. Litwinka IV.

Litwinka died Wednesday night due to a medical condition. He was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital, however attempts to revive him were unsuccessful, officials said. He was 13.

City Hill Middle School will open its doors from 3 to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25, where the grief counselors will be made available.

The wake for the boy is 3 to 5 p.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, located at 240 North Main St. in Naugatuck.

Litwinka was described as a sweet, kind boy who wanted to be a lawyer when he grew up. He attended City Hill Middle School, was a communicant St. Francis of Assisi Church, was involved in Boy Scout Troop 138 and held a camouflage belt from Sokols Karate School.

A funeral Mass will be held at 9 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi at 318 Church St. The burial will be announed.
