Vote: The Best Pizza Place in Naugatuck
It's on to part two of our weekly food segment on where to get the best pizza in the borough.
We had multiple reponses this week to our request looking for the best place to get a pizza in Naugatuck.
Given the number of pizza joints in the borough it was tough narrowing it down. Ultimately, Mike's, Mario's and Mendano's got the highest number of comments on both an article we published Wednesday and on our Facebook page.
So, now comes the second part of our little business query: when you vote on the choices.
Below are the four that we felt got the most comments. The poll closes at 5 p.m.

If I had to vote between these three I say marios. Mendano's has horrible customer service which makes his pie lose.

Well, I think Customer service should weigh in. It's all part of the experience.
For Naugatuck, I think Mario's is the best. They are also very friendly and always have your order correct. I've gone there MANY times and never had a problem.
I went to Medano's once and they messed up my order, the cook was drinking beer which did not impress me. sorry....
But.. The really fantastic pizza is at Antonio's in Beacon Falls! There other dishes are also of high quality.

Obviously you cannot list every Pizza place in town as an option - But Vinny's, A1 and Bellissimos were mentioned several times by people in the previous "Who Has the Best Pizza in Naugatuck?" article yet are not choices here?

Vinnys - bland
American Pie - Greek, too thick
Mikes - Greek, Quality has gone downhill
Marios - good, all around safe bet. Good tatse
Mendanos - Best tasting pie, customer service is suspect.
A-1, Johns, Paesanos - Eh...
Bellisimos - Their meals are better than their pies.
... I'm just glad you didn't include Big Y like you did with the Best Grinder Poll. Yikes.
As for me, get me to Pepe's in New Haven or Roseland in Derby. Nothing in Naugatuck comes as close...

Giuseppe's on New Haven Rd gets my vote! The pizza there is thin and never too greasy! And Im picky with pizza seeing I had had the pleasure of living in Brooklyn where the pizza is faaagheddaboutit!
