An evening with
Linda Eder & Tom Wopat
April 26 | 8pm
Showcasing one of the greatest contemporary voices of our time, Linda Eder’s diverse repertoire spans Broadway, standards, pop, country and jazz. Eder possesses a distinctive, unparalleled voice that has been thrilling and captivating audiences on recordings and in concert venues large and small for more than two decades.
The friendly, fun-loving and engaging Wopat first came to public attention in the late ’70s as the freewheeling Luke Duke on the comedy-action-adventure TV series The Dukes Of Hazzard. But it wasn’t long before his classically trained vocals took him away from car chases and landed him a role in Cy Coleman’s I love My Wife for his Broadway debut. It’s a rare performer who can star on a classic television action series that’s become part of American pop culture, win top billing on Broadway marquees in award-winning hit musicals, record solo albums featuring country chart-makers and play the leading man in a hit situation comedy. Wopat’s flexibility doesn’t seem to be a matter of self-conscious role playing but an expression of his far-reaching musical tastes and personal experience.

A Holiday Concert with
Melissa Manchester
December 21 | 8pm
Grammy Award-winning artist Melissa Manchester learned songwriting by none other than Paul Simon and worked with Bette Midler and Barry Manilow before signing a recording contract which established her as a compelling singer/songwriter. Her debut releases Home To Myself and Bright Eyes positioned her as a dynamic new talent, and Melissa launched the smash hit single "Midnight Blue".
Melissa and Kenny Loggins co-wrote the radio classic "Whenever I Call You Friend", and her songs have been recorded by Barbra Streisand, Dusty Springfield, Alison Krauss, Roberta Flack, Johnny Mathis, Kathy Mattea, Peabo Bryson, Cleo Laine and Barbara Cook, among many others. Her international hits include "Through The Eyes Of Love" and "Don't Cry Out Loud".
Nominated for a Grammy in 1978 and 1979, she received the Best Female Vocalist at the 1982 Grammy's. In 1980 she became the first artist in the history of the Academy Awards to have two nominated movie themes in a given year -- "Through The Eyes Of Love" and "The Promise" -- and went on the make Oscar history by performing both songs during the worldwide telecast.
In 1998, Melissa released her first Christmas album on Angel/EMI Records. The CD, entitled Joy, was hailed by the New York Times as “a heartfelt Christmas album that sounds classic on first listen”.
In 2010, Melissa co-created and starred in the five-time Ovation Award nominated ballroom dance spectacular Fascinating Rhythms at the Rubicon Theatre, and her song “I Know Who I Am”, was recorded by Leona Lewis for the Tyler Perry feature film For Colored Girls.
