Scheduled Power Outage to Affect Close to 700 CL&P Customers in Naugatuck Tonight

A total of 14 streets will be affected in Naugatuck overnight.

A total of 686 Connecticut Light & Power residential and commercial customers in Naugatuck will be affected after a scheduled power outage takes place overnight between tonight, Thursday, Sept. 26, and Friday morning.

The outage will take place between 11:30 p.m. and 3:30 a.m. and is being scheduled to that workers can safely upgrade equipment, CL&P spokesman Mitch Gross told Patch on Thursday.

The goal is to complete the work and have power back on sooner than the projected time frame, Gross said.

The streets that will be affected include: Maple Street, May Street, Oak Street, Calvin Street, Bradley Street, Spruce Drive, Hillcrest Avenue, Auburn Street, Bingham Street, Hill Street Extension, Forest Street, Vine Street, Glenwood, Albion Street and McKinley Street.

Residents should reset their clocks Friday morning; digital alarm clocks that rely on electricity for power might be reset.
