Donations Sought for July 4 Celebration

The Naugatuck Public Works Dept. has begun planning Naugatuck’s annual 4th of July Celebration.

This year’s event will begin at 6 p.m. on Monday, July 4, at Naugatuck High School. It will include entertainment, food, novelty booths, and a variety of family-oriented activities. Admission is free. 

The evening will be culminated by a giant fireworks display at 9:15 p.m. Rain date is Tuesday, July 5.

Donations are being accepted for this event. Please send to: 4th of July Fund, Naugatuck Savings Bank, 251 Church St., Naugatuck, Ct. 06770. Donors can also log on to www.naugatuck-ct.gov and follow the link under “Notices and Announcements” to donate through PayPal. 

The borough is asking residents to consider being major sponsors of the 4th of July Celebration with a contribution of $250.00 or more. The names of major sponsors will be displayed during the festivities and recognized in the local news media.
