LOCAL ACTORS IN PROFESSIONAL DINNER THEATRE

You know how it is …we all want to kill our boss at one time or another.  Now you can. The dates are set!  On September 22 and October 27 you are cordially invited to kill “Uncle Franco” - the Boss of all Bosses at the murder mystery dinner theatre celebration at the Yankee Pedlar Inn in Torrington at 7:30pm sharp!

AspenDream Productions™, Connecticut’s longest-running professional murder mystery comedy dinner theatre, puts on an action-packed performance where everyone is considered a suspect.  Guests will be assigned a name tag, and are encouraged to attend dressed ready to play the role of a gangster, movie star, politician, or friend to the well-respected “Uncle Franco,” head of the New York Mob family.  Someone is killed, and no one can leave until the mystery is solved.  Is it jealous rivals from feuding families? Chicago mafia figures infiltrating the scene for gambling purposes?  Sinister anti-wealth international forces?  A jealous ex-wife?  Help Agent Orange solve it all in Mob’s Murder Mystery’.

The story of Uncle Franco in Mob’s Murder Mystery’, an interactive dinner theater show was written by local producer and director, Janice Luise-Lutkus in 2002. Since then, Mob’s Murder Mystery’ has played throughout Connecticut and Massachusetts to sold-out audiences for fundraisers and private parties. AspenDream Productions™ first opened in Connecticut in 1997 with their hit show, ‘For Better & For Worse’ a comedy wedding.  This show continues to win the hearts of audiences throughout the tri-state areas.

“It's no secret why everyone loves the mystery and hilarity of this show,” Luise-Lutkus said.  Mob’s Murder Mystery’ gives guests permission to play, have fun, and even act if they want to.  They can become part of the show.” "Not everyone sees the same thing," Luise-Lutkus says. "There are different vignettes going on at same time."

"The most important cast member is the audience," she says.  “By the end of the night we usually get 90% of the guests on the dance floor."

 AspenDream Productions™ employs over 30 over-the-top characters.

Local actors from the Waterbury areas include Frank Marcella who plays the lead character of Danny Lambrusco, a garbage man from Waterbury, Patrick Hearn is Luigi "the Squeegee" Vendetta, and Anthony Verrier (Oakville) as Tony “Two Bits” a goon who gambles too much and has a vendetta against Uncle Franco.
