Waterbury Family Opens La Bella Vista At The Pontelandolfo Club

Weddings, Baby Showers, Birthdays and Christenings are among life’s most treasured events.  Ensuring such joyous occasions are perfect in every detail is the mission of newly opened La Bella Vista, located on the premises of the popular Pontelandolfo Club in Waterbury.

“As the new caterer at the Ponte Club, we carry on the long-standing tradition of providing an exceptional experience for anyone who chooses to hold a special event at this venue,” said Linnea D’Elia, Director of Marketing for La Bella Vista.

Opening La Bella Vista has been a true labor of love for three generations of one family.  Their rich history in the food industry combines old world tradition with a mix of modern flare.  La Bella Vista’s goal is to ensure an exceptional experience for all guests.

The principal partners of La Bella Vista include Michele Capobianco, who is the founding partner of San Marino Ristorante and Nino’s Trattoria. Anthony D'Elia is the owner and managing partner of both restaurants and brings over 30 years of experience under the tutelage of Michele Capobianco. Andrew Razz began his career at San Marino Ristorante. For the past 6 years, he worked with two well respected restaurant corporations in Rhode Island and Virginia. Andrew is a graduate of Johnson and Wales with degrees in Food Service Management and Culinary Arts. Andrew leads the team in culinary creativity, infusing a contemporary flare with old world cuisine. Linnea D'Elia heads up marketing and vendor relations. Joe Carolan, who has rich history in restaurant management, heads up research and development.

This team of diverse talents seized the opportunity to expand to the next level and saw La Bella Vista through to fruition.  It is a truly exquisite venue featuring an approach that is elegant, classic and luxurious.  The expansive patio with an elegant granite fountain feels like an Italian Piazza. This leads to the grand foyer with dramatic high ceilings, unique gathering spaces, and a beautiful sweeping stairway leading to private bridal suites. The banquet rooms are decorated in a soft Tucson color palate and highlighted with elegant crystal chandlers and sconces.

“Most importantly, we want La Bella Vista to be inviting,” said D’Elia.  We look forward to sharing our passion for food and the enjoyment of the experience with many people.”

The venue specializes in a variety of events that can accommodate parties ranging in size from 50 to 600:

The Pontelandolfo Community Club resides on more than 70 acres in Waterbury complete with soccer field, four indoor heated bocce courts with a fireplace, and two outdoor pavilions for functions.  The Club has a rich history in Waterbury. From the beginning of the 20th century on, the immigrants from Pontelandolfo, Italy found a new home in the United States and particularly in Waterbury.  They maintained the strong native bond of their "paese" by establishing the Pontelandolfo Society in 1930, followed by the Pontelandolfo Social Club in 1939. These two groups merged together in 1965 to form the Pontelandolfo Community Club. In 1985, the Ponte Women's Club was formed.

The owners and board members of the Pontlandolfo Club and La Bella Vista are looking forward to a long lasting successful relationship together.
