NHS Winter Percussion is Unstoppable
Naugatuck High School Winter Percussion Ensemble has outdone themselves once again. The group performed in Musical Arts Conference (MAC) competition in Shelton today and logged their highest score in the ensemble’s recent history of 92.9. This year’s show titled The Edge of Darkness continues to wow the judges and audience members alike as the musicians fine tune their show each week adding new elements to keep it fresh from one performance to the next. Instructors Matt Richter, Robert Wilcox, Donny Binette, Erin McLaughlin, and Dave Campbell work several hours each week with the students focusing on the fine details that set NHS apart from other groups competing in MAC. Their hard work and dedication is reflected in the outstanding scores earned each week in competition. NHS Winter Percussion has their final performance at MAC Championships next Saturday, April 5th at 5:30pm at Westhill High School in Stamford. The ensemble would like to thank Watterworth Signs in Prospect for the fine job they did on the artwork for the bass drum heads.
