Ed Sullivan's Southbury Home Goes on the Market

It may have been some time since Ed Sullivan has lived in this house; he died in 1974.

But let there be no doubt, in its heyday, many celebrities, crossed the threshold. In fact, the Beatles - yeah, those guys from Liverpool - once swam in the pool. 

The house, on the market for $460,000, is located at 367 North Georges Hill Road in Southbury. The 3,500-square-foot abode sits on 1.81 acres and appears to be a jewel of local celebrity real estate.

The house was built in 1920, but the details are timeless.  The wide beam floor boards and beams, as well as the slate floor in the kitchen, are as appealing today as they were in the 1956 copy of American Home.
