Heavy Rain Brings Flash Flood Warning
Watch out for flash flooding Friday evening as heavy downpours continue.
A Flash Flood Warning has been issued for most of Southern Connecticut as thunderstorms continue to drop inches of rain across the region.
The warning is in effect until 9 p.m. Friday.
The National Weather Service (NWS) is predicting 1 to 3 inches of rain to fall across Northern Fairfield County, with heavier showers possible that could bring 1 to 2 inches per hour this evening.
Due to recent rainfall in the area, flash flooding could produce dangerous situations.
