Following recent construction in town, Naugatuck Patch user John Pereira wrote the following post on our Facebook page:

Here's a question...Is the town holding all these construction companies that are digging up the roads responsible for making them somewhat smooth as they were before? Coming down Union City Rd, onto RT 68 and onto RT 8 is literally painful.

Do you agree that the roads are too bumpy in Naugatuck? How is your vehicle holding up?

Not sure about a joke, but they are bad, and so are the roads in nearly every town I drive through. I hope you will vote yes in November for the $5 million dollar bond to improve town infrastructure. $4 million will go to road paving. I will vote yes for this.

John posted "All I know is I know people that have houses valued at the same has mine and pay half of what I pay." Have you brought this to the attention of the Assessor or Tax Collector? Either you are paying too much or the others are not paying enough. I do not get your analogy of buying a car, maybe I missed something?
