"Many Cultural Council volunteers have devoted countless hours to plan and host the Celebration of People, which we hope becomes an annual event in the borough," Mayor Bob Mezzo said. "The celebration furthers the mission of the Naugatuck Cultural Council to promote cultural diversity in Naugatuck and raise awareness of the many individual stories that have brought and continue to bring families to the borough."

Limited seating will be available, but those who plan to attend are advised to bring lawn chairs and/or blankets.  Admission to the event is free.  Anyone interested in participating should contact Naugatuck Cultural Council members Les Williams at 860-707-4374 or Vanessa Vowe at 203-729-7981 as soon as possible.
