Naugatuck Senior Center Serves as Cooling Station

From Mayor Bob Mezzo:

During times of extreme heat like the weather we are currently experiencing, the Naugatuck Senior Center  at 300 Meadow St. (Phone: 203-720-7069) serves as our local cooling station between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Complimentary water is available for those in need of a location away from the elements.

Gov. Dannel Malloy issued a press release reminding residents to take precautions over the next couple days as temperatures are predicted to exceed 90 degrees during daytime hours with high humidity.  Information and precautions from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (“FEMA”) are available at the link embedded herein.
