Rebimbas, Labriola to Ring Bell Today for Charity

The state representatives are volunteering with the Salvation Army this afternoon.

State Reps. Rosa Rebimbas and Dave Labriola will help raise money for the Salvation Army this afternoon.

The Republican legislators who represent Naugatuck will serve as volunteer bell ringers near the Salvation Army donation kettle from noon to 1 p.m. today at Walmart on New Haven Road. Walmart officials have agreed to match the money Labriola and Rebimbas raise during the hour.

Last year, the duo raised more than $100 during this event.

Rebimbas represents the 70th House District, which oversees about 70 percent of Naugatuck. Labriola's 131st District covers Oxford and parts of Southbury and Naugatuck.

Regardless of who is ringing the bell, I am trying this year to drop a few bucks in everytime I pass one of these.
