Senior Center to Serve as Cooling Station

Naugatuck center will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for residents.

The will serve as a cooling station for residents today between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The center, located at 300 Meadow St., is air conditioned for cooling purposes. Complimentary water is also being made available to residents.  

Mayor Bob Mezzo said on his blog that the station is being opened because weather forecasts predict unusually hot and humid weather conditions will remain in Connecticut through the end of today.
