I just posted pictures from 119 Prospect St (our property) and our neighbors properties... where the apartment complex on Prospect St was evacuated! Not a good situation! Our yard is destroyed!

I have posted 6 pictures taken at the Naug. Ecumenical Food Bank on 75 Spring St.
The Food Bank serves between 75 & 100 clients each week-for now. The supply of food we currently have on hand may not stretch to meet that need. Please-help to feed those in need. God bless you.

@Nancy, I work for Children's Studio for the Performing Arts. When we open for the fall season, i will see if we can get a food drive going OK? What are the hours that you accept donations?
Nancy Goudreau August 9, 2012 at 06:32 am
Currently we take donations Tuesday 1:30-4 and Friday 9:30-12. Special arrangements can be made for alternate times if needed. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

I live in the Trowbridge Apartment complex that had recently been flooded and covered over in mold The Building was just purchased a week prior to the flood The owners were so over welmed they didnt know what to do for us tenants the building was evacuated by the Red cross and all of us on the bottom floor were left homeless.I am also a dog owner of Eight years which made it even more difficult,I had no where to turn I had to take time off from work (which I find out Monday of that out come) I can never explain the feeling of hopelessness and loss when this is suddenly put upon your life. After going from Hotel to hotel hiding my dog hoping I wouldn`t get kicked out I finally went to the Mayors office I met the kindest gentleman that truely cared and took the situation very seriously.Edward Carter Mayoral Aide stopped everything he was doing that buisness day and made phone calls researched the situation and also went to the building to talk to the owners in my behalf needless to say it was the first breath of fresh air in a week.I am now comfortably relaxing in the Comfor Inn in Naugatuck with my dog he had made sure the new owners that turned a deaf ear to me when trying to resolve the situation has now recognize me as a person and are going to do the right things such as making sure my dog and I are safe and comfortable until this situation can be resolved.Mr Edward Carter treated me like family and I just want the public to know how lucky we are to have him on our side!

Free speech is far from free!!!! The president can dish it out so he can expect it in return. This is free speech in a very pointed approach it does just that! It makes a valid point! The whitehouse is full of bullies like president or from the president DOWN.Hank P.

Love this photo of three Naugatuck residents in Afghanistan. I know these three. They come from great Naugatuck families and are awesome guys. There is nobody I'd rather have defending our freedom. Thanks for your services, fellas. (Re: Photo No. 173)
Naugybride August 17, 2012 at 04:41 pm

I'm so sosrry for your problems, if you need food perhaps you can try the the food bank right there in Naugatuck. Ask for Marty or Nancy for assistance- they are both well known. Donna in LV
SILENT WOLF September 1, 2012 at 07:05 pm
I submited some pics of our town Green. Talk about blight, you don't have to go far . What would a strange visitor think? I'll tell you ,they might be thinking of never wanting to live here .I't s too bad , it dosen't have to be this way .. If people cared more ..I'd like if a commitee could be appointed to survey the town green and put together a group of volunteers to revamp this area , after all it's a bad impression on our town and the people of it,With the help from the present administration I for one am willing to walk the talk are you???.Because apparently the town public works is not doing much.

Paul you are 100% correct in referring to Anton, Adam and Mike's picture in Afghanistan. I also have the privilige of knowing them for a long time as they went to school with my daughter and in Mike's and Anton's cases, their parents were childhood friends of mine as well!. They were wonderful young gentlemen growing up and they have turned out to be very special young men. Many compliments to their parents and themselves for becoming what they are today

I wholeheartedly agree with Eric. I am thinking of taking my account to a different bank in protest.Read More (NAUGATUCK Savings & Loan perhaps) May sound silly to some, but in my opinion, changing the name of such an historic institution to me is blasphemous, not to mention sounding stupid. ION indeed!

Eric is right! smh @ NSB (ION)
Grumpy Guy June 11, 2013 at 12:08 pm
For anybody who's thinking about leaving NSB/ION...if you find better savings acct interest rates-Read More let me know!!
