The Naugatuck High School administration will offer a freshman orientation for incoming grade nine students on Thursday, Aug. 29, from 9 a.m. to noon.
Students will have an opportunity to hear from upperclassmen regarding NHS policies and procedures and strategies for success. Students will be provided with opportunities to get to know one another and the high school through ice breakers, activities and a scavenger hunt.
At 11 a.m., parents are invited to the NHS choir room for a parent orientation. Finally, students and parents are invited to participate in a culminating activity in the auditorium before being dismissed.
Due to the ongoing construction at the high school, parents and students are ask to park in the upper lot on Millville Avenue and walk down the path to the cafeteria entrance. Teachers and students will be available as tour guides that morning. Any individual in need of handicapped parking should contact the office and necessary arrangements will be made.
