A New Healing Tool Introduced at Bethany Body Works

November, 8, 2013, BETHANY, CT -- Jennifer Kriz, lisenced massage therapist and owner of Bethany Body Works located at 41 Village Lane in Bethany, CT has over 20 years of training and experience in many healing modalities including advanced Cranial Sacral Therapy, Myofascial Release and deep tissue massage. She is continually updating her training in order to customize her sessions to meet each client's unique needs.

Recently trained in percussion therapy with the VibraCussor percussion instrument; Kriz is better able to help individuals who suffer from trigger points, muscle spasms, scar tissue and adhesions, post exertion muscle fatigue and other myofascial tenderness.

Fascia is a connective tissue throughout the body that when contracted or in spasm may have a ropy consistency or feel hard and tender when palpated. Fascial restrictions underlie many chronic pain syndromes. Using the VibraCussor in combination with massage or other manual therapies allows for very effective release of both superficial and deep fascia. This can greatly improve ease of movement, quality of life and decrease the need for pain medication.

“It is just as important for permanent pain relief to release fascia, as it is for relieving tight muscles," Kriz says. By bringing the VibraCussor percussion instrument into her sessions, Kriz stays on the cutting edge of effective new therapies to produce better results for her clients.

Bethany Body Works will host a free demonstration and informational meeting featuring the VibraCussor percussor instrument on Thursday, December 5 at 7:30pm. Call 203-393-1500 to reserve a seat.
