Naugatuck Chamber Seeking Sponsors, Raffle Prizes, Players for May 6 Golf Outing

The Naugatuck Chamber of Commerce, an affiliate of the Waterbury Regional Chamber, is collaborating with the Naugatuck YMCA to host the 20th Annual Golf Outing “fun raiser” on Tuesday, May 6 at the Watertown Golf Club in Watertown at 246 Guernseytown Road. All proceeds from the non-profit outing will provide organizational benefits and support to the Naugatuck community at large. Ion Bank and Sarracco Mechanical Services are current outing sponsors and event organizers are seeking additional sponsors, raffle prize donations and players.

Courtney Ligi, special events director for the Waterbury Regional Chamber and the Naugatuck Chamber of Commerce stated that, “We are seeking additional event sponsors at several levels. All sponsorships must be confirmed by March 11th for those sponsoring companies to be included in all our pre-event marketing promotions.” Current cart sponsor is Naugatuck Valley Savings and Loan. “Additional sponsorship opportunities include additional outing sponsors, gold sponsors, cart sponsor, putting green sponsors and tee/green sponsors.”

The May 6th Golf Outing will feature hole-in-one prizes of a $25,000 cash prize for hole #4 sponsored by the Chittenden Insurance Group in Naugatuck. The hole #15 prize of a new car will be provided by J&M Automotive Sales & Service in Naugatuck. In “Best 2 Out of 4 Format’, a 50/50 Money Hole prize will also be offered and Nardelli’s Grinder Shoppe of Naugatuck will provide a 6-foot grinder “of choice” prize to the golfer who comes closest to the pin. In 2013, the ‘grand prize hole-in-one winner’ was Rob Nocera of Waterbury Housing Fund in Waterbury who won a truck provided by J&M Automotive Sales & Service.

At a cost of $2,500 outing sponsors will receive pre-event promotion and publicity, event promotion, two tee and two green sponsorships, two complimentary foursomes lunches and dinners. For $1,500, cart sponsors will receive pre-event promotion and publicity, event promotion, company logo on golf carts, and complimentary foursome lunches and dinners. Corporate gold sponsor, at a cost of $1,200, receives pre-event promotion and publicity, event promotion, tee and green sponsorship, plus complimentary foursome lunches and dinners. Hole sponsors fees are $250 for putting green and $150 for tee and green. All sponsors will receive special recognition at the May 6th dinner.

Attendance fees for the May 6th golf outing are $150 for individual golfers, $195 for an “all inclusive fun pack” and $45 to enjoy dinner only. The “all inclusive fun pack” offers 18 holes of golf, lunch and dinner, 25 raffle tickets, two Naugatuck Chamber Duck Race tickets, two Mulligans, plus the 50/50 Money Hole. The first 132 paid golfing entrants will be eligible to play.
