Naugatuck's First Entry in $100,000 Deck the House Contest

Could this be the house that takes home the grand prize of $100,000 for Naugatuck Public Schools? Could yours?

A little friendly competition never hurts, especially when there’s $100,000 on the line!

So if you think your holiday decorations are the best in town, upload a picture of your house and enter our Deck the House Contest. And don’t worry about all those lights racking up the utility bill because if you’re voted a finalist Patch will give you up to $500 to cover the expense.

Last year an in the annual contest, in which the house with the most votes wins $100,000 for its town's public schools.

We know some of you out there may have decorations up that aren’t as extravagant as these, by Scott Slauson. That’s OK! We’d still love to have a photo of your house in the gallery so we can show how Naugatuck has awesome holiday spirit.

Have fun and happy holidays!

Sounds great, Lisa! If you know the owners tell them to upload a pic to the contest, or feel free to provide them with my email address (below). Just imagine if Naugatuck schools won $100,000 ... talk about a happy holiday!

I wholeheartedly agree with Eric. I am thinking of taking my account to a different bank in protest.Read More (NAUGATUCK Savings & Loan perhaps) May sound silly to some, but in my opinion, changing the name of such an historic institution to me is blasphemous, not to mention sounding stupid. ION indeed!
