The Cancer
Support Community of Southern Connecticut is delighted to be hosting our
inaugural gala this year and we’d love to see you there.
“A
Celebration of Life and Hope” will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the
The Waterview in Monroe, CT. The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with a
reception and silent auction, followed at 7 p.m. with presentations, dinner and
a keynote address from Julia Sweeney (Saturday Night Live, Pulp
Fiction, Sex & the City). Other speakers will include Dr.
Thomas Lynch (Yale Cancer Center), Governor Dannel Malloy (invited)
and Senator Richard Blumenthal (invited). The emcees are Gillian
Neff of News 12 and Morgan Amarone (Miss Connecticut 2011).

are: The Cancer Support Community of Southern Connecticut (CSC-SCT) is an
affiliate of the Cancer Support Community – an international network of
independently chartered nonprofits whose mission is to ensure that all people
impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and
sustained by community. CSC-SCT is proud to be building the first
facility and offsite programming of its kind in Connecticut, serving Fairfield,
New Haven, Middlesex and New London Counties.
