United Way of Naugatuck & Beacon Falls will host its 12th annual Community Care Day on October 30th. Local merchants throughout Naugatuck and Beacon Falls will contribute a portion of their sales for that day or make a flat donation to the United Way. The participating businesses will be recognized with United Way balloons at the storefronts. To date, the following businesses have agreed to participate: in Naugatuck - American Pie, Casecella Plumbing, D&D Liquors, Dunkin Donuts, Guiseppes, Mendano's Pizza, Mountview Plaza Wines & Liquors, Mr. D's Tavern, My Garage, Naugatuck Car Wash, New England Bakery, Paiva's Liquors, Pete's Package, Pink Petal Sweets, Quizno's at New Haven Rd., Santander & Totta, Santos Restaurant, Savoir Hair, Secrets Day Spa, Smokeland, The Club, Thurston Energy, Valley Liquors, Vige's, What A Tan, and White Splash; new businesses include Myers & Myers Plumbing & Heating, Quality Sheet Metal and Cross Point Convenience (Citgo New Haven Rd.) and in Beacon Falls businesses include Ace Auto, Beacon Beer and Beverage, Beacon Falls Pizza Palace, Botti and Lenners, Dan-Mart, Fitzgerald Automotive, Full Harvest, Gabe's Mobil Station, Kellie's Kuts, and Subway.
