Dear Naugatuck & Beacon Falls friends,

It is with great pride that the United Way of Naugatuck and Beacon Falls celebrates our 50th year!  Our Founder Robert Van Allen stated it so amusingly, and to this day we still believe it is best to put all our “begs  in one asket”. We also hold firmly to Mr. Van Allen’s belief that the allocation of funds should be made by a dedicated group of community volunteers. Your   continued generosity will truly embody the enduring power of   community spirit in Naugatuck and Beacon Falls.

It is in this spirit that I ask you to remember the many neighbors you help, but may never meet and the thousands of lives you will change for the better.  Recognizing these tough economic times, the United Way of Naugatuck and Beacon Falls set our goal for this coming year at $440,000, in order to fund even more programs for our neighbors in need.  Join me in making a contribution to our local United Way!

Please find the detachable 2014 pledge card to your right or visit our website at unitedwaynaugatuck.org and easily make your donation online.  You may choose to make a one-time gift or make a pledge with an arrangement of a reminder for payment.  Please contact us with any questions about the campaign, the programs we fund, or to volunteer at 203-729-1564 or unitedsay@sbcglobal.net.

I realize there are so many ‘asks’ that we all receive, yet I implore you to rally behind our campaign and help us reach our goal.  I am so proud to live and work in such a generous, caring community and to be a part of the United Way of Naugatuck and Beacon Falls Campaign, which continues to bring together people from across our community by helping local programs meet local needs right here every day. You can be sure when you invest in the United Way of Naugatuck and Beacon Falls that you are improving the lives of everyone who lives and works in our community!

With gratitude,

Kathy McPadden

Campaign Chairwoman
