When Does Naugatuck Pick Up Christmas Trees?

Here's the answer from Naugatuck Public Works, plus a reminder about the change in trash pickup this week due to the New Year's Day holiday.

Christmas trees will be collected on Naugatuck residents' regular trash day during the week of Jan 6 through the 10.

Residents should remove all decorations, tinsel, and plastic. The trees will be recycled by chipping and using the mulch in town. Trees are also accepted at the Recycling Center, which is open Thursday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

New Year's Trash Pickup Schedule

There will be no curbside collection of trash or recycling on Jan. 1, New Year's Day. Collections will be one day late following the holiday, running Thurs. through Sat.

Collection routes start early, so always have materials at the curb the night before your collection day and keep three feet of space between the carts. The Public Works Office will be closed on Jan. 1. The Recycling Center will be open regular Thursday and Saturday hours, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.; the Bulk Trash portion of the site is closed for the winter.
