ABOUT THE MUSICAL:

A spunky nurse from Arkansas falls in love with a mature French planter and father of two native children causing the Navy Nurse to struggle with her extreme prejudices. Sharing in the romantic trouble is a strapping Lt. who denies himself a future with an innocent Tonkinese girl. Meanwhile, American sailors are growing restless and bored without combat to keep them active or women to entertain them in their downtime.
