The Nutmeg Ballet Announces its 2012 Nutcracker Auditions
Saturday, Sept 22 at the Warner Theatre
AUDITIONS FOR CHILDREN'S CAMEO ROLES AGES 7-12
Registration begins at 1:00 in the Warner Theatre lobby
Audition 2:00 - 4:00
Arrival and sign in from 1:00-2:00
Please register your own children; Children will be introduced to the audition process and parents will be walked through the rehearsal expectations and given the opportunity to sign up to work as a volunteer for the production.
Students will be auditioning for a number of "Children's Cameo Roles" including the opening Party Scene, Soldiers, Angels and Clowns. They should arrive in dance attire and once they are registered, auditioning students will be escorted into the Warner Theatre by volunteer staff.
No Parent will be allowed inside the theater during the audition.
There will be a Parent/Volunteer Production meeting in the lobby of the Warner Theatre. Please make every effort to attend as we will be sharing important information about the production with parents.
Parents will be escorted into the theater and will be seated in a designated area.
The cameo roles will be announced during this time.
Children will receive their information packet and contacts and be released to parents.
Auditions will officially kick off the NUTCRACKER rehearsal period which begins Oct 9th and culminates with performances of The Nutcracker at the Bushnell Theater in Hartford on December 8th and 9th and
The Warner Theatre on December 15th and 16th respectively.
There will be a total of 7 performances of The Nutmeg's traditional version of the
holiday ballet that is a must for the entire family during this Holiday Season.
