Preview of 'Company' at Southington First Congregational Church
Updated with ticket prices and times of performances
The Steeple Players of First Congregational Church will be producing Company this fall to kick off the 2012-2013 season. Company is a musical comedy which revolves around Bobby (a single man unable to commit to a steady relationship),
five married couples who are his best friends, and his three girlfriends. Company was one of the first Broadway shows to deal with adult themes and relationships. Director Richard McCarty has cast 14 adults to act and sing in this funny and compelling show.
Location: First Congregational Church, Southington
Director: Rich McCarty
Music Director: Alan Dougherty
The story revolves around the birthday party of Bobby, a confirmed bachelor who has five couples as his very close -- and married --friends. Bobby also has three girlfriends he is in and out of relationships with. Bobby's friends try to convince him that living alone is not good for him...or is it? In describing their marital happiness, they paint the picture of what true marriage is: hard work, compromise, passion, friendship, authenticity, and lying.
