Preview of Curtain Call Kids 'Seussical' at the Nancy Marine Studio Theatre

Performances will be on Friday, March 29, at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, March 30, at 2 p.m., at the Nancy Marine Studio Theatre on Main Street in Torrington next to the Warner Theatre.

Tickets are on sale now for Curtain Call Kids' next production, Seussical, a toe-tapping musical that combines elements from several beloved Dr. Seuss stories!

TORRINGTON - Curtain Call Kids will present the toe-tapping musical Seussical, which combines elements from several beloved Dr. Seuss stories, on Friday and Saturday, March 29 and 30, in Torrington.

The show on Friday performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday the show will begin at 2 p.m. Both performances will be held in the 300-seat, state-of-the-art Nancy Marine Studio Theatre, next to the Warner Theatre on Main Street. There are 31 actors in the all-children cast, ages 7 to 17, who are residents of Middlebury, Morris, Oakville, Southbury, Thomaston, Watertown and Woodbury.

The show is produced by Curtain Call Kids, a children’s community theater troupe that serves western Connecticut and offers its programs through Middlebury Parks and Recreation.

Seussical, which debuted on Broadway in 2000, combines story lines from Horton Hears a Who, Horton Hatches the Egg, The Cat In The Hat, Miss Gertrude McFuzz, and Yertle the Turtle.

Horton the Elephant will be played by Oakville resident Brandon Arnold. The Cat in the Hat will be played by Middlebury resident Lauren Stango. Gertrude McFuzz will be played by Middlebury resident Jillian Buckley. And JoJo will be played by Morris resident Kennedy Morris.

The remaining cast members include Middlebury residents Zoe Baltrush, Ryan Grayson, and Samantha Grayson;; Morris resident Sierra Cortes; Oakville residents Jordan Elliott, Benjamin Goth, Allison Mazzarella, Samantha McCaffrey, and Stephanie McCaffrey; Oxford resident Molly Connor; Southbury residents Emily Falk, Jack Maguire, Julia Maisano, and Lilly Waterman; Thomaston residents Katherine Ross and Megan Ross; Watertown residents Amanda Altamirano, Robbie Altamirano, Caleigh Dodge, Nicole Fleming, Ella Makowski, Niki Meka, Casey O’Toole, Claire Roberts, and Allison VanDerlyn; and Woodbury residents Beth Mieczkowski and Kate Mieczkowski.
