Preview of 'Curtains' at the Warner Theatre

The Tony Award winning comedy musical directed by Rob Schiller opens Jan. 26

Torrington, CT – The Warner Stage Company presents the Tony Award winning comedy musical mystery CURTAINS, January 26 – February 3 at the Warner’s Nancy Marine Studio Theatre.

Based on the original book and concept by Peter Stone, the musical is set in 1959 Boston, Massachusetts and follows the fallout when the supremely untalented star of Robbin' Hood of the Old West, Jessica Cranshaw (played by Carol Merrill) is murdered during her opening night curtain call. It is up to Lt. Frank Cioffi (Matt Cornish), a police detective who moonlights as a musical theater fan to save the show, solve the case, and maybe even find love before the show reopens, without getting killed himself.

The Suspects include the hard-bitten lady producer, Carmen Bernstein (Jeannine Gallmeyer); her husband, Sidney (Jeff Savage); the show's flamboyant director Christopher Belling (John Ozerhoski); divorced songwriting team Aaron Fox (Pat Spaulding) and Georgia Hendricks (Suzanne Powers); Stage Manager Jenny Harmon (Catherine Thoben Quirk) choreographer/leading man Bobby Pepper (Richard McKenna), ingénue Niki Harris (Lynn D’Ambrosi), and ambitious chorine Bambi Bernét (Trisha Carr).

The Warner Stage Company’s production is directed by Emmy Award winning director producer Rob Schiller with Music Director, TJ Thompson and Choreographer, Donna Bonasera. Performances are Saturday, Jan 26 and Feb 2 at 8:00pm, Sunday, Jan 27 and Feb 3 at 2:00pm and Friday, Feb 1at 8:00pm.

Tickets are $20 / $26 / $33.50 and can be purchased by calling the Warner box office at 860-489-7180 or online at www.warnertheatre.org.
