The Christmas Classic to be presented in Bethel

Theater at Walnut Hill to Present...

 It's A Wonderful Life - The Musical

This year's musical is none other than the Christmas classic "It's a Wonderful Life," which will be staged at Walnut Hill Community Church's Bethel campus, 156 Walnut Hill Road, for six shows over two weekends in December.

Tickets, only $12, are on sale for the following dates:

Friday, December 7 - 7:00 p.m.

Saturday, December 8 - 7:00 p.m.

Sunday, December 9 - 2:30 p.m.

Friday, December 14 - 7:00 p.m.

Saturday, December 15 - 2:30 p.m.

Saturday, December 15 - 7:00 p.m.

Tim Huber, Pastor of Worship & the Arts, and co-director of this year's show (along with Walnut Hill member Deana Merchant), has again selected a well-known story - one that brings the themes of love, second chances and redemption.

Last year's show -"A Christmas Carol" - played to wildly appreciative audiences, some of whom were left wondering whether the church had hired professional actors.

It hadn't.

Everyone in the show is part of the Walnut Hill church family.  The actors, singers and technical crew give of their time and talents each Christmas season to show Christ's love - through theater - to the greater Danbury, Waterbury and Valley communities.

Rosemary Westhaver (You Can't Stop the Beat, Bucket List of Unbroken Dreams) writes, "I know for most of you, the movie is a must-see each Christmas season, so I know that you will really enjoy this play. There is great acting and some great music. It's a wonderful family show. I am so excited and proud to be in this wonderful show and I hope that I see some of you there. I will not be in the show on Dec. 14th. but will be in all the others."

I wholeheartedly agree with Eric. I am thinking of taking my account to a different bank in protest.Read More (NAUGATUCK Savings & Loan perhaps) May sound silly to some, but in my opinion, changing the name of such an historic institution to me is blasphemous, not to mention sounding stupid. ION indeed!
