Preview of John Williams POPS Rescheduled Concert in Litchfield

New date for John Williams POPS Concert is Sat. April 27

Waterbury Symphony Orchestra Presents: John Williams POPS Rescheduled concert Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 8 pm at Litchfield Intermediate School

Due to a snowstorm in March, the Waterbury Symphony Orchestra was forced to postpone the John Williams Pops concert. The new date is: Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 8 pm at Litchfield Intermediate School, 35 Plumb Hill Road in Litchfield.    

Maestro Leif Bjaland will lead the orchestra in this tribute to the music of John Williams. Over the past 40 years Williams' music has become America's soundtrack. Well-known for his Olympic anthems and inaugural works, this concert will feature selections from epic movie scores such as: Superman, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Harry Potter, E.T., Jaws and many more!

Waterbury Symphony Orchestra's concertmaster, Alyce Cognetta Bertz will be the featured soloist on Schindler's List. Concert patrons are invited to attend a free pre-concert reception at Brandywine Senior Living, where they'll be able to meet the Maestro, enjoy a complimentary glass of wine and mingle with members of the "Rebel Forces," (from "Star Wars" fame).    

Tickets are $30 and $50. (Adult premium tickets are already sold out according to the WSO website.)  Student tickets are $5, (rush only, one hour prior to concert). Please remember to bring your student ID. To purchase, please call: 203-574-4283 or order online at: waterburysymphony.org.
