Preview of Michelle Gotay Brings 'More Kicking and Screaming' to Seven Angels Theatre

Are you finding yourself fighting your way to a better life?  Are you Kicking and Screaming perhaps?  Then join motivational speaker, Michelle Gotay, who will take you on a hilarious ride through her own personal mid-life struggles. Her one woman show, More Kicking and Screaming, will leave you feeling entertained, inspired, and perhaps finding your own P…. Her latest version of this wildly popular event, comes to Seven Angels Theatre for two performances on  Friday, October 5 at 8 PM and Sunday, October 7 at 2 PM.

A talented actress and comedienne, Michelle Gotay’s incredible charm, spontaneity and gift for creating memorable characters have made her an audience favorite. With her own brand of self-deprecating wit, she shows us how to handle the doubters (even if we, ourselves, are one of them!), naysayers, and “people with “pissy ‘pinions” who discourage our fondest hopes and dreams. Her ability to humorously poke fun at herself and others, all while imparting an important message, is sheer genius.   Not only are audiences entertained, but they leave the theater seeing themselves and the people around them in a whole new light.

A sample of her cure-all advice: “I try to help people discover how to take life’s unexpected setbacks and reshape them into stepping stones to rebuild confidence…I use to cry “I want a do-over” …but I didn’t get one…Now my advice to people is to take one step forward; even if your next three steps are backward, and it takes a little longer to reach your goal, you’ll still eventually get there.”

And if her advice isn’t enough, she gives audiences a catchy tune to hum and asks them to just pop one of her creative “funny farm-aceuticals” such as ACTAZIF or PURPOSET ….. Not sanctioned by the FDA and virtually useless but incredibly funny…. Seasoned with musical numbers, her show highlights a powerhouse performer who sings  and draws more laughs then most stand-up comedians.
