Naugatuck Community Band's 'Music for a Darkened Theatre'

Free concert with tunes from the Dark Side for the entire family

UPDATE: This concert was presented by the Seymour Arts committee. The large audience was very appreciative of the performance and many complimented the conductor on his selections. Mr. Marenghi was dressed as his favorite super hero, Mr. Incredible from the Pixar movie, The Incredibles. Many children came to the concert in costume and excitedly trick or treated after the performance among the members of the band. See the photos that I have added to this post.

The program include:

Music for a Darkened Theater - Elfman

The Naugatuck Community Band returns to the Strand Theater with a holiday concert.

Original post:

The Naugatuck Community Band, under the direction of Charley Marenghi, will present a concert of Halloween-themed selections in costume.

Mr. Marenghi writes, "Bring your whole family to a free concert with tunes from the Dark Side. Wear your Halloween costume...it will be a scary good time."

Kids should bring their trick-or-treat bags with them.

This concert was supposed to take place last Halloween, but was canceled due to a freak October snow storm. Trust me on this...The medley from Wicked is worth the trip to Seymour.
