A FABULOUS SOLO SHOW ABOUT COMEDY LEGENDS COMES TO SEVEN ANGELS THEATRE
Seven Angels Theatre brings the story of two legends of comedy to Waterbury, February 14 through March 10. Say Goodnight, Gracie by Rupert Holmes is the Tony Award nominated play based on the relationship between George Burns and Gracie Allen. George Burns, whose career spanned over 90 years of American entertainment history, laughingly lived and loved each day for all it had to offer. Playing the role of George Burns will be R. Bruce Connelly, a regular at Seven Angels Theatre. Connelly has appeared in Boeing-Boeing, The Producers and other productions at the theatre. Say Goodnight, Gracie is a solo tour de force and a tender, funny, life-affirming love story. It earned a Tony Award nomination for Best Play in 2003 and garnered the 2003-04 National Broadway Theatre Award for Best Play.
During the run of Say Goodnight, Gracie, Seven Angels Theater offers many free food and drink nights, including the Opening Night Post Show Party on Saturday, February 16. The audience will get to meet the cast and crew, as well as having some delicious food and beverages. A complete list of these special nights can be found on their website. Matinee (2 PM) and evening (8PM) performances are available.

R. Bruce Connelly most recently played Max Bialystock in The Producers and Boeing-Boeing at Seven Angels Theatre, where he has played Felix Unger in Oscar & Felix, Max Prince in Laughter on the 23rd Floor, Moonface in Anything Goes, and Pseudolus in A Funny Thing Happened on The Way To The Forum, for which he was awarded the Outstanding Actor in a Musical by the Connecticut Critics Circle. Other roles elsewhere include title roles in Uncle Vanya, The Music Man, Scapino, The Man Who Came To Dinner, and half the town of Greater Tuna. Bruce has been honored 15 times by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Daytime Emmy Awards for his performance as Barkley, Jim Henson’s Muppet dog, on “Sesame Street.”
