Preview of Shakesperience's 'Sweets to the Sweet'

It's a dessert tasting. It's a live auction. And periodically, it's Shakespeare's most iconic scenes of romance, featuring resident actors and some of the sweetest guest stars in town.

Our guests will sample an array of fine desserts and champagne as our resident actors and local executives, radio hosts, politicians, and other Waterbury dignitaries step out of the office and into some of Shakespeare's most iconic love scenes.

Together, auctioneer Bob Ruscitto will conduct a live auction of fabulous packages and Artistic Director Emily Mattina will direct dazzling performances to make one great evening of raising funds for children, for education, and for the arts.

Yes, they’ll steal the scene. After all, Shakesperience gets school students to the front of the class to do it all the time. And this night, proceeds support those very same educational programs. Education, arts, and children. That’s why we’re here.

Shakesperience very much appreciates the generous support of Naugatuck Savings Bank, People's United Bank, and TC's Jewelery, Pawn & Electronics.
