NEWINGTON MAINSTAGE TO PRESENT EAST COAST PREMIERE OF THE MARVELOUS WONDERETTES: CAPS & GOWNS

NEWINGTON, CT – The girls are back in town! (and this time – they’re graduating!!)

Newington Mainstage is thrilled to present the East Coast premiere of The Marvelous Wonderettes: Caps & Gowns - the highly anticipated sequel to last year’s sold-out smash! Join us at the Springfield High School graduation where we reunite with the Wonderettes, four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts! As we learn about their lives and loves (and take a peek into their futures!) we are treated to the girls performing classic ‘50s and ‘60s songs such as “River Deep, Mountain High,” “Dedicated To The One I Love,” “Rockin’ Robin” and over 20 other classic hits!

Last season’s incredibly talented cast of four - Kelly Boucher, Rosanne Gowdy, Katie Keough & Cindy Lesser - returns to take us back in time with their humor, charm and most of all – their outstanding voices! The show is directed by Cindy Lesser & Kelly Boucher, with Music Direction by Mike Gowdy and choreography by Madalyn Sheehy.

Marketing Director Ian Galligan, the very talented actor who played to perfection Bud Frump in Seven Angels' How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (number three on my list of top ten musicals,) tells me that "it’s a revue of 50’s & 60’s music with a hilarious story woven in – great for all ages!"

Newington Mainstage will present “The Marvelous Wonderettes: Caps & Gowns” for one weekend only, February 8-10 (Friday & Saturday at 8pm, Sunday at 2pm) at the Newington Town Hall Auditorium (131 Cedar Street, Newington). Please note that parking & the entrance are located on Mazzaccoli Way/Mill Street with no direct access from Cedar Street – please visit our website for more information & detailed directions.

Tickets are $22.00 for general admission and $18.00 for students and seniors. Tickets and additional information can be obtained at www.NewingtonMainstage.com or by calling (860) 595-2350.

Newington Mainstage: It’s Good Times. Seriously.
