SHOW 1 OVER THE TAVERN October 6-30
by Tom Dudzick
It’s 1959, the Pazinski family has a lot going on in their cramped Buffalo apartment. The youngest of the bunch, 12-year-old Rudy, is a smart, wise-cracking kid who’s starting to question family values and the Roman Catholic Church. When Rudy goes up against the ruler-wielding Sister Clarissa and announces that instead of being confirmed he’d rather shop around for a more “fun” religion, all hell breaks loose.“A hilarious and touching depiction of 1959 Americana. Absolutely enchanting…a little bit of heaven!” — Richard Christiansen, Chicago Tribune

SHOW 2 SMOKEY JOE’S CAFÉ November 10-December 4
The Songs of Leiber and Stoller. Words and Music by Leiber and Stoller
Leiber and Stoller, as much as anyone, virtually invented rock ‘n’ roll, and now their songs provide the basis for an electrifying entertainment that illuminates a golden age of American culture. Featuring nearly40 of the greatest songs ever recorded, SMOKEY JOE’S CAFE isn’t just great pop music – it’s compelling musical theatre. “To the baby-boom generation, the songwriters Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller are as sacrosanct as George Gershwin is to their parents.” — The New York Times

SHOW 3 CENTENNIAL CASTING February 16-March 11
by Gino DiIorio and Nancy Bleemer
For Vincent Didonato, the family’s metal casting shop that he runs would hardly seem the perfect place to meet Ms. Right. But that is exactly what happens when a bunch of resumes from several comely New York actresses start pouring into his “Casting” office. Finding one young waitress too irresistible to let slip away; he sets up an “audition” for a fictitious film. Mistaken identity and hilarity soon follow as show business and sheet metal collide. A mad-cap new comedy that proves sometimes it’s all right to let sparks fly.

*THE BELLE OF AMHERST
by William Luce.
The Tony Award winning play explores the life of America’s greatest woman poet, Emily Dickenson, at various stages in her life, bringing to life the roles of her father, teacher and friends. “Magnificent…. Full of passion and poetry and heart…. An arresting, riveting experience.” – New York Daily News. “One of the most singularly beautiful evenings I’ve ever spent in the theater. . . . A beautiful play." — Boston Globe.

*BAD DATES
by Theresa Rebeck
Texas transplant Haley Walker tries to balance and survive the pressures of a new career as a fashionable New York City Restaurateur, raising a moody teenage daughter, and the too-close-for-comfort close encounters with the Romanian Mob all while trying to find her way back into the dating scene…nothing that a great pair of shoes couldn’t fix! “Frothy, irresistibly charming, and bubbling over with weary good cheer.” Boston Globe “Haley’s attempts to find a love connection and put together the perfect outfit with the right pumps will crack you up laughing.” — The Seattle Times

*VIGNETTES OF AN I-TALIAN AMERICAN GIRL!
by Maria Baratta
A goody-goody Italian American girl clashes with her rebellious younger sister, and through a twist of fate reveals that there is more to La Famiglia than the Sopranos, cannolis, and guns. A one-woman show sauteed with garlic and caramelized with humor! Direct from the 2011 NY Fringe Festival

“I can do one of two things,” says Teddy Roosevelt at the top of “Teddy & Alice,” “I can either be President of the United States or I can control Alice. I cannot possibly do both!" The battle of wills between the great American President and his free-spirited daughter provides a spectacular doublestar turn in this high-stepping, flag-waving and heart-warming family drama, set to the immortal strains of John Philip Sousa.

Seven Angels offers great value for the money. For as little as $99 you get tickets for the five Mainstage shows.  I really like Seven Angels Theatre.  It is a small house, and I have never had a bad seat, even when I bought my ticket immediately before the performance.  Last year I saw My Fair Lady (directed by Tom Chute and featuring my friend Gary Rosengrant in several roles) and Star Mites presented by the Lenka Peterson Players and enjoyed both. I have hesitated to purchase season tickets because you must commit to particular dates and times and during the winter I am always afraid of a snowstorm preventing me from making the trip to the theater. Some tickets come with Beer and Pizza Night, Sweet Maria’s Night, Fascia’s Chocolate Night, Sundaes on Sundays and even a Post Show Cast Party. These include an extra charge.

Seven Angels Theatre is Greater Waterbury’s only Equity professional regional theatre is located in the historic Hamilton Park Pavilion on Plank Road in Waterbury, CT. It is minutes off I-84.
