Seven Angels Theatre presents the ninth annual Halo Awards for excellence in High School theatre.

Seven Angels Theatre Presents the 9th annual Halo Awards for Excellence in High School Theatre

It’s like the Tony Awards for Broadway only these awards celebrate excellence in High School theatre in Connecticut. Seven Angels Theatre in Waterbury will present their prestigious Halo awards on Wednesday, May 30, at the Palace Theater on East Main Street in Waterbury.  At 6 PM nominees will have a red carpet entry to the pre-show reception with the awards following at 7 PM.  Last year Seven Angels presented over 40 awards including Best Musical, Best Performance by an Actor and Actress, Best Dance, Best Ensemble and many other awards including all aspects of technical theatre and behind-the-scenes contributions. …and for those who create the scenery!

Who will win the Gypsy Robe this year? This is an award given to someone who “performs” brilliantly behind the scenes, making sure that the play is a success. This year’s Gypsy Robe will be on display before the awards ceremony in the lobby of The Palace Theater.

Throughout the evening the schools will perform musical numbers from their plays. It’s going to be a great night for Connecticut High School Theater.

I wholeheartedly agree with Eric. I am thinking of taking my account to a different bank in protest.Read More (NAUGATUCK Savings & Loan perhaps) May sound silly to some, but in my opinion, changing the name of such an historic institution to me is blasphemous, not to mention sounding stupid. ION indeed!
