************

The Thomaston Opera House is pleased to announce that it is entering into a brand new era of theatrical operations. The Thomaston Opera House Commission (TOHC) has entered into a management agreement with Landmark Community Theatre Inc. (LCT). In this agreement, LCT will assume the responsibilities of operating the 128 year old Victorian theatre as a cultural arts center for the town of Thomaston and surrounding areas.

This is great news for the Opera House, the town of Thomaston and especially the many patrons of the theatre. Once again, you can expect to see theatre, dance, music and performances of all kinds grace the historic stage.

The Thomaston Opera House Commission is sending you this letter to inform you of the changes happening at the theatre. It is our hope that you will continue to patronize and support the many performances that will be scheduled in the near future. Success of these events will also benefit the Opera House. The Thomaston Opera House will receive fees on every ticket sold for the facility including a 50 cent restoration fee. This will assist The TOHC and the newly formed Friends of the Thomaston Opera House (FTOH) in realizing the mission of returning the theatre to its original grandeur.

Over the many years of operations at the Opera House, the management has gathered contact information from its many patrons. The information was gathered to publicize future shows and to support the mission of the Thomaston Opera House. It is the Commission’s intention to allow LCT and FTOH access to the past patron contact information for the same purpose. This will allow them to properly communicate activities in the theatre.

The Thomaston Opera House Commission, Friends of the Thomaston Opera House and Landmark Community Theatre Inc. board of trustees, staff and volunteers look forward to reopening our historic facility. We hope you will continue to support the theatre and its endeavors for years to come.
Sincerely, The Thomaston Opera House Commission
