Duck Day and Race 2014 [PHOTOS]

It was a beautiful day for a Duck Race!

The Naugatuck Chamber of Commerce sponsored the 9th Annual Duck Day and Race on Sunday, June 1, 2014 in historic downtown Naugatuck. Created in 2006 by the Naugatuck Chamber of Commerce, the Duck Day and Race has grown to over 20,000 rubber ducks being dumped by a pay-loader from the Whittemore Bridge to race down the Naugatuck River with the ambition to be among the first 25 ducks to win the competition. Local area non-profit organizations benefit from the race.

During the race, Maple and Water Streets in Naugatuck were filled with food and craft vendors, live music, games, costumed characters and much more. Many local businesses exhibited their products and services to the thousands of event attendees.

Duck race winners will be posted here.
