Local Community Theater Actress Publishes 'A Midnight Bloom'

Roxie Quinn has written the first in a series of vampire novels with healthy doses of romance and adventure.

Local community theater actress/singer/director/choreographer Roxie Quinn has published her first novel, A Midnight Bloom. The book is volume one in the Blood Borne series and is a fictional novel in the romance and paranormal genre. Mrs. Quinn, who published under the name of C.R. Quinn, appeared on Backstage with Johnny O on Saturday to discuss A Midnight Bloom as well as local theater happenings.

As described on the createspace publishing site, "Vampires have a dirty little secret – their children are among us. Many Vampire-human hybrids are just as powerful as their fathers, and they are being hunted for the very blood that runs through their veins. Brianna is the daughter of one of the oldest and most powerful Vampires in history, but she is as oblivious to who he is as she is that Vampires even exist. But when Cameron Burke is sent to bring her to safety, Brianna is forced into a world she doesn't understand or why they believe she is more than just a housewife. Cameron must find a way to convince Brianna of what she is and accept her abilities otherwise she could end up like so many others of her kind, dead and drained."

About the Author

C.R. Quinn is a first time author whose prior accomplishments include a bachelor's degree in Biology, surviving the corporate world for over fifteen years, and a singer/dancer/actor in community theatre. She decided to take this crazy adventure after throwing a fit (yes a fit) when the third book in a row she read didn't end the way she wanted. It was then that a voice inside challenged her to do better. Since then C.R. has been engulfed in creating a family of characters that she hopes are as real to her readers as they are to her. She lives in Connecticut with her husband, and is lucky to be the stepmother to two wonderful children.

Congratulations to this talented actress on a new chapter in her life. Mrs. Quinn will be directing and choreographing Peter Pan at the Warner this summer, which we will be the first time she has directed a mainstage production.
