Naugatuck High School Marching Band Takes First Place in Competition [UPDATED]

The Greyhounds have another great week in competition.

Naugatuck HS Marching Band competed in Southington's Music of the Knight on Saturday, Oct. 19. The 21st Annual Music of the Knight marching band competition was held at Fontana Field in Southington and was  a USBands sanctioned marching competition featuring 20 high school bands from across Connecticut.

The Greyhounds received a score of 78.825 and earned first place in their group 3 Open. They also won all captions (best music, visuals, guard, percussion and effect.) Their band director is Mr. Robert Hughes. Thanks to Kim Gajewski-Schulte for sending me the scores soon after they were announced.

Congratulations to all the members of the band and the adults who work with them.
