Naugatuck Teen Theater Will Offer Two Workshops in January

Naugatuck Teen Theater will be offering a dance workshop on January 5, 2014 and an audition workshop on January 9, 2014. Both workshops are open to all high school students for ten dollars and will be free of charge for any Hamlet vs. Zombies alumni.

NTT Board of Directors Chair Katherine Ray writes that the workshops are in preparation for their upcoming production of Chicago. Ms. Ray will direct the musical coming in May of 2014. Last spring, they produced the wonderful Annie Get Your Gun directed by Daniel Wagoner and starring Alex Hernandez and Zach Carter.

The time of the dance workshop with choreographer Jennifer Mazzeo will be from 3:00pm to 5:00pm and its focus will be on the Fosse style of dance. The audition workshop is with NTT alumni Sarah Donavan. That workshop will begin at 7pm on Jan. 9.

Founded in 1995, Naugatuck Teen theater is a youth program open to high school students that emphasizes the process of artistic collaboration and instills a focused work ethic. For close to twenty years they have produced fantastic productions open to regional youth by practicing professionalism, collaboration and individual development through a fun and exciting rehearsal process. Because of this, their enthusiastic performers bring to the stage a high quality theatrical production.
